## Appeal to Ignorance

The faulty appeal to ignorance is when someone is asked to prove something happened, and to counter, they ask to prove that it didn't!

Imagine this scenario:

Billy comes home early one day from school, and his mom asked him why he was home so early. "Because I told my teacher that aliens stole my homework." Billy replies. "Why would they send you home for a joke?" His shocked mom asked. "Well, when they asked me to prove that it happened... I asked them to prove that it didn't happen."

Some others you may hear are:

"Prove evolution did happen."

"Why don't you disprove it then!"

"Prove the big bang."

"Prove God exists!"

"Prove to me that God does exist."

"Prove to me that He doesn't!"
