Information science. I believe this the most devastating evidence against evolution, and more so with the big bang. This also contains some scientific jargon, so if you'd like to skip the jargon, just jump to the yellow text.

Information science is probably the most compelling, and commonly used scientific arguments for special creation. But what is it? Well I'll explain...

In this computer age, we use information all the time, but very few people stop to wonder what information really is, and where it comes from. Scientifically, we can define information as a coded message containing an expected action and intended purpose. Using this definition, the words you are reading right now In this article count as information. They are encoded - the words represent Ideas. the expected action is that you will read these words and act on them, the intended purpose is that the reader will become converted and become better at defending the Christian faith.

DNA also contains information. DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is a long molecule found within living cells and looks like a long twisted ladder. The "rungs" of the ladder represent the amino acids sequences, the building blocks of proteins. DNA contains the instructions to build the organism (instructions qualify as information). So different organisms have different DNA patterns. DNA qualifies as information: It contains an encoded message (the base pair triplets represent amino acids) and has an expected action (the formation of proteins) and an intended purpose (life).

Whenever we find information, two ideas apply. Here are the two ideas; 1: There is no known law of nature, no known process, and no known sequence of events that can cause information to originate by itself in matter. 2: When its progress along the chain of transmission events is traced backwards, every piece of information leads to a mental source, the mind of the sender.

Idea #1 tells us that matter cannot randomly create information. Idea #2 tells us that only a mental source (a mind) can generate new creative information. Based on these two ideas, taken from "In the Beginning was Information", the theory of evolution is impossible. The information in DNA could not have come about by mistakes and mutations, just like this article wasn't written by a series of typos that accumulated over time, an intelligent mind must have put the information there. I put the information into this article, just like God put information into our DNA. What do you ask the evolutionist? Ask them this: Where did information come from?

Summary: When you look at a lunch menu and you see the letter "r" it has a special meaning, just a twisting of ink has a special meaning. That special meaning is called information. When you look at the symbols of bent ink together "Roast beef" you have information, with a special meaning. How do you assume that information got there? Well, someone must have put it there, a mind, something that can think, something that can produce information. Information cannot randomly come about, it must be put there by something, or someone. the same kind of information is found in our DNA. It is impossible for a series of accidents and mutations to create something that means something. It was placed there by a thinking mind. What do you ask the evolutionist? Ask them this: Where did information come from?
