Faulty appeal to the majority

An appeal to the majority can be a very dangerous thing. It's the same thing as peer pressure. Many people will believe anything, just because almost everyone else does. When I was little, I would get picked on at school for not believing in evolution. Or that I wouldn't smoke like the rest of my friends. Until one time I tried, and I regretted it.

Many times the evolutionist will pull up an argument like this:
"Almost everyone believe in evolution! No one needs religion and faith and the Bible, because evolution has already brought us this far. Almost every scientist has based their research on evolution, even Charles Darwin!"

Just because the majority believes something... Does that make it correct? Far from it!

Years ago, the majority believed that if you were sick you had bad blood, so they would bleed you. They were wrong. Dead wrong. That's how George Washington died! And on the bed next to him was a Bible that said, "...the life of the flesh is in the blood..." (Lev. 17:11).

The majority used to believe that bigger objects fell faster that smaller ones. Again the majority was wrong when Galileo proved that every object falls at the same rate. (9.81m/sec^2)

The majority used to think that the earth was in the center of the solar system, and even the center of the universe! Again, the majority was wrong!

The majority used to think that the atom was just a round ball. Again, the majority was wrong.

The majority used to think that everything was made of fire, water, earth, air, or aether. Once again, they were wrong.

The majority used to think that the earth was flat, and again, the majority was wrong!

The majority voted in Hitler as leader! That was a huge mistake on the majority's side!

The majority has a long record for being wrong. How could we base anything on what the majority thinks?
That's it, we can't. We need a foundation, like science and logic, that can actually prove something, not just appeal to the majority.

The majority tends to like atheism simply because they don't like God telling them what to do. They don't like God telling them they can't have sex before they're married. They don't like God telling them they can't cheat. They don't like the idea that they are going to hell if they don't repent! All of it is just because they love their sin, they love temporal pleasure. They love to follow their lust. But in the end, none of it matters.

The majority is wrong about where they're going when they die.
